2007 was a mixed year. A year of more suffering and longer queues. A year of radical arts 'n' culture spitting truth at power. Our poor millionaires got poorer. The bulging stomachs of the chefs ballooned. We launched our cultural activist network, MAGAMBA, and with it pledged to fight with the word in our mouths and our fists. I was nominated for a Zimbabwe Human Rights Award in the Music category alongside Zimbabwean cultural icons, Leonard Zhakata and Thomas Mapfumo. 2008 has started, Hungry and fast. Elections on the horizon. And the need for a new burst of activism. So we spread our shows of resistance across the country and take awareness raising concerts about the Zimbabwe struggle to our South African neighbours. 2008 will be an intense, interesting year for our country.
